The Confucius Institute in Atlanta will host the 2018 Confucius Institute Day on Sept. 21 on Emory campus in Modern Languages Building. The event is devoted to fostering the understanding of the rich and unique Chinese cultural traditions among school children, college students, and the public. It is co-organized by the Confucius Institute in Atlanta at Emory University in collaboration with the Chinese program at Emory.

The CI Day will feature a variety of open-air events highlighting various aspects of Chinese cultural and aesthetic traditions. The program will include sessions on traditional Chinese Opera, tea ceremony, Chinese calligraphy, Chinese folk dance, martial arts, papercutting, traditional Chinese painting, Chinese snacks and food, and much more. Participants will have plenty of opportunity to learn about the origin and practice of Chinese culture and customs through informative discussions and demonstrations by local artists and Emory students, and through interactive hands-on activities. Participants will take home sights, sounds, and tastes of the unique Chinese culture.

It's free and open to the public. Come and join the fun.
