Distinguished Speaker Series

Since its founding in 2008, the Confucius Institute has hosted the Distinguished Speaker Series, bringing a variety of China specialists and scholars from leading educational institutions as well as public and private sectors in North America, Europe, and China to Emory University and metro Atlanta. The speakers address a wide range of subjects related to China’s history, culture, and contemporary society. The lectures, open and free to the public, provide insights into Chinese cultural traditions and the significant trends in politics, economy, and culture of contemporary China. They keep students and the public informed of news and China-related developments, deepening public understanding of China.
