Language & Culture

One of the four ancient civilizations in the world, China has a rich and unique cultural tradition going back to thousands of years. It's contributions to the world civilization include the invention of papermaking, compass, printing and gunpowder. China's native philosophies of Confucianism and Daoism offer non-Western perspectives on human existance and nature. The country's literary, artisitc, and theatrical practices present a refreshing aesthetic experience for the non-Chinese viewer.

The Confucius Institute in Atlanta is committed to promoting understanding of China and its cultural traditions among the public and provides resources to facilitate the learning of Chinese language and culture. We offer a wide range of cultural and language programs to students, teachers, and interested public. Please check out our programs on the menu.
