Welcome to Confucius Institute in Atlanta

The Confucius Institute (CI) in Atlanta promotes the learning of Chinese language and culture and fosters engagement with China through cultural activities, travel, teaching, and research. The CI facilitates people-to-people exchanges with China among students, educators, businesses and the public. The CI advances public understanding of China through conferences and publications that disseminate knowledge about China and Chinese cultural traditions.

The CI in Atlanta is an integral part of Chinese Studies at Emory that spans a wide range of disciplines in humanities and social sciences. It promotes internationalization of education and supports the University’s mission to “create, preserve, teach, and apply knowledge in the service of humanity” through academic and cultural programs that enrich cultural experiences of students and faculty and strengthen exchanges with China.
